Update Time?

Listen, I know writing a resume can feel like an overwhelming task but it NEEDS to be done. My suggestion is:

  • Continuously updating it when big things happen in your career

  • Making notes of accomplishment

  • Keep your profile summary fresh.

By staying on top of updates when THEEEEEEE job comes along you don’t have to stress about starting from scratch.

Here are some tell-tale signs you should really think about an update:

  1. You’re using a generic objective statement.

  2. You’re writing “duties include” when describing your experience.

  3. You’re not including your LinkedIn URL on your resume.

  4. Your job history is looking historical.

  5. You list “references available upon request.”
